OPUS DEI IN NIGERIA
Since 1965 when the first members of Opus Dei arrived in Nigeria, many have found in its message a new hope of holiness.
The most appealing aspect of this discovery is that without changing their state in life or their jobs, all men and women can find God right where they are.

HISTORY
The first arrivals came to Nigeria on the 19th of October 1965. They were a layman, Jeremy White from the UK and a priest Fr. Jose Domingo Gabiola, from Spain. The founder, St. Josemaría Escrivá, had sent them to "open up" this path of holiness in daily life among Nigerians.
